Maternity photo with mother to be in nursery | Laura Ryan Photography

Maternity Portraits are best taken between 32 and 36 weeks. We want to make sure that you are showing enough but not wait until you are too uncomfortable. Maternity photos can be taken in your home, in our Lakewood studio, or at a location of your choosing.

Tacoma Birth Photographer | Laura Ryan Photography

I recommend that you book your Birth Story early in your second trimester to make sure I have availability surrounding your due date. Due to the nature of birth and to best serve your family, I only book so many births per month. If you are interested in learning more about birth photography or trying to decide if birth photography is right for you, I would love to schedule a consultation!

Siblings meeting for the first time | First48 Session | Laura Ryan Photography

First48 Sessions (also known as Fresh48 and Newborn Hospital Sessions) are taken where you give birth and while technically within the first 48 hours, I try to come as soon after birth as possible! For this reason, I recommend that you still book your First 48 session during your second trimester so I can ensure I have availability surrounding your due date. The First48 session is not meant to replace your newborn session. First48 sessions are perfect for those that may not want full birth coverage but want to document those first hours of your little one’s life.

Family Newborn Lifestyle Session in a Studio | Laura Ryan Photography

Newborn Lifestyle Sessions take place in your home or in my Lakewood studio, and are meant to capture your family and baby in a very natural way. Newborn photos are best taken when baby is 7-10 days old and still sleepy!

Olympia Lifestyle Family Photographer | Laura Ryan Photography

Family Portrait Sessions are a mix of lifestyle and posed images. I will have all of the children look at me for a couple of photos, but after that it’s playing airplane or ring-around-the-rose, it’s tickling one another until you can’t laugh anymore, it’s sharing a look with your spouse or child, it’s reading a book or playing on the floor, it’s just your family being together telling your story.
